Women’s the Netherlands vs Croatia, first match of Barcelona 2018

The Netherlands and Croatia’s women’s teams will play the first of the 92 matches of the 33rd LEN European Water Polo Championships Barcelona 2018. The European Swimming League (LEN) has just unveiled the competition schedule of the preliminary stage, which will conclude on July 21st.

After the opening match, which will start at 14pm, the first day of competition will feature five additional matches, including the women’s Spain-Hungary clash, the cherry on top of a fantastic water polo afternoon at the Picornell.

A total of 54 matches will be played in the preliminary stage, held from July 14th to 21st. The first session will begin at 11am (starting on July 16th) and the second will end after the last match, which will start at 10pm.

In the men’s category, the firs classified teams from each group will go through to the quarterfinals. The second and third squads will compete in the round of 16. In the women’s tournament (two groups of six teams), the first four classified teams from each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
