Sustainability Project

INTRODUCTION

Sustainability is not a pipe dream, it is a road we must take to protect our future. For the past several decades our actions have contributed to reducing biodiversity and preventing resources from being equitably distributed.

Sustainability means being co-responsible, which is why it is well-received not only by those who benefit from these changes and those who contribute to them, but also by those who look for for a model to emulate, and by ourselves. Barcelona will be a perfect example of viable development if we manage to distribute resources efficiently and put into action all the necessary measures to make these Championships sustainable.

GOOD PRACTICES OF THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

This Organizing Committee has made it clear that following a sustainable policy is crucial for the 33rd LEN European Water Polo Championships Barcelona 2018, which is why we have adopted an environmental project that affects all the departments.

Since this is a sporting event the Organizing Committee will not be applying for an ISO 14.001 or EMAS environmental certificate.
