The Spanish men’s national team attend their first training camp ahead of Barcelona 2018
After the match between Spain-The Netherlands set for tomorrow in Malaga, the squad led by David Martín will organize their first training camp to prepare for the 33rd LEN European Water Polo Championships Barcelona 2018. The team will fly to Barcelona that same day and will train at the High Performance Center (CAR) in Sant Cugat from Wednesday until the end of the week
The 14 men the Spanish manager called for the first match of the season will be later joined by Fran Fernández (Atlètic Barceloneta), Augustí Pericas (CN Terrassa) and Eduardo Lorrio (CN Barcelona).
The match against the Dutch team marks the first time the Spaniards get together since the World Aquatics Championships held in Budapest last July. The duel is part of the European qualifier for the World League, where Spain will have to face the Netherlands and Hungary for a ticket to the Superfinal.
The women’s national team, which will also take part in the World League this season, will make their debut against Russia on November 21 in Dos Hermanas.
