The Spanish and Serbian national teams trained together this afternoon at the Bernat Picornell Pool, and have expressed their satisfaction with the competition venue and the materials created for the 33rd LEN European Water Polo Championships Barcelona 2018.
Serbia is the title-holder and current Olympic champion. Just a few days ago, the Serbians conquered the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games, which were also held in Spain. As it happens, these two teams haven’t faced each other this season in an official match.
The Spaniards, who will make their debut on Monday against Malta, have been drawn into Group B with Malta and France. Serbia on the other hand will face Russia, Slovakia and Romania in Group D.
